فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَ أَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرافِقِ قَالَ فَامْسَحْ عَلَى كَفَّيْكَ مِنْ حَيْثُ مَوْضِعِ الْقَطْعِ وَ قَالَ وَ ما كانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad Bin Isa, from one of our companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having been asked about the <span class="iTxt">Tayammum</span>, so he<sup>asws</sup> recited this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:5#h38"><a href="/books/quran:5#h38">[5:38]</a></a> And (as for) the man who steals and the woman who steals, cut off their hands</span>, and Said <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:5#h6"><a href="/books/quran:5#h6">[5:6]</a></a> wash your faces and your hands as far as the elbows</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Therefore wipe upon (the back of your) wrists from where is the place of the cut. And He<sup>azwj</sup> Said <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:19#h64"><a href="/books/quran:19#h64">[19:64]</a></a> and your Lord was not forgetful</span>’.
