سُئِلَ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهَا الدَّمُ فَلَا تَدْرِي أَ طَهُرَتْ أَمْ لَا قَالَ تَقُومُ قَائِماً وَ تُلْزِقُ بَطْنَهَا بِحَائِطٍ وَ تَسْتَدْخِلُ قُطْنَةً بَيْضَاءَ وَ تَرْفَعُ رِجْلَهَا الْيُمْنَى فَإِنْ خَرَجَ عَلَى رَأْسِ الْقُطْنَةِ مِثْلَ رَأْسِ الذُّبَابِ دَمٌ عَبِيطٌ لَمْ تَطْهُرْ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يَخْرُجْ فَقَدْ طَهُرَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ وَ تُصَلِّي.

علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے اسماعیل بن مرار اور دیگر سے، انہوں نے یونس سے، انہوں نے جس نے ان سے روایت کی اس سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: آپ سے ایک ایسی عورت کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا جس کا خون بند ہو گیا تھا لیکن وہ نہیں جانتی تھی کہ آیا پاک ہو گئی ہے یا نہیں۔ فرمایا: وہ سیدھی کھڑی ہو اور اپنا پیٹ دیوار سے لگائے، اور سفید روئی کا ٹکڑا اندر ڈالے اور اپنی دائیں ٹانگ اٹھائے۔ پس اگر روئی کے سرے پر مکھی کے سر کے برابر تازہ خون نکلے تو پاک نہیں ہوئی۔ اور اگر کچھ نہ نکلے تو بے شک پاک ہو گئی ہے — غسل کرے اور نماز پڑھے۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ismail Bin Marrar, and someone else, from Yunus, from the one who narrated it, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘He<sup>asws</sup> was asked about a woman from whom the blood had been cut off, but she did not know whether she was pure or not. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘She should stand upright and lean against a wall and insert a (piece of) white cotton and raise her right leg. So if there comes out upon the tip of the cotton, blood like the (size of a) head of an insect, it is premature and she is not clean yet; but if there does not come out (any blood), so she is clean. She should wash and pray <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span>’.
