علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے عمرو بن عثمان سے، انہوں نے مفضل بن صالح سے، انہوں نے جابر سے، انہوں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے فرمایا: 'جب مسلمان پر بڑھاپے کی کمزوری غالب آ جائے تو اللہ عزوجل فرشتے کو حکم دیتا ہے کہ اس کی اس حالت میں اس کے لیے ویسے ہی لکھے جیسا وہ جوانی، چستی اور صحت میں کیا کرتا تھا۔' اور اسی طرح جب وہ بیمار ہو جائے تو اللہ اس کے ساتھ ایک فرشتہ مقرر کر دیتا ہے جو اس کی بیماری میں اس کے لیے وہ نیک اعمال لکھتا ہے جو وہ اپنی صحت میں کرتا تھا، یہاں تک کہ اللہ اسے اٹھا لے اور قبض کر لے۔ اور اسی طرح کافر کا معاملہ ہے: جب اسے اپنے جسم میں بیماری ہو تو اللہ اس کے لیے وہ برے اعمال لکھ دیتا ہے جو وہ اپنی صحت میں کیا کرتا تھا۔

Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Amro Bin Usman, from Al Mufazzal Bin Salih, (It has been narrated) from Jabir, from Abu Ja’far^asws having said: ‘The Prophet^saww said: ‘When the Muslim is overcome by weakness of the old age, Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic Commands the Angel that he should record for him during that state of his, similar to what he would have done had he been young, energetic, healthy. And similar to that is when he is sick, Allah^azwj Allocates two Angels with him, to write for him during his sickness what he would have done from the goodness during his good health, until Allah^azwj Raises him, and Captures him (death). And similar to that is the Infidel, when he labours with sickness in his body, Allah^azwj Writes down for him what he would have done, from the evil (deeds), during his well-being’.
