Al-Kafi 4348

Translation

Ali, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abu Ayoub Al Khazzaz, from Usman Al Nawa’a who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah^asws, ‘I tend to wash the dead bodies’. He^asws said: ‘And you are good (at it)?’ I said, ‘I wash’. So he^asws said: ‘When you wash, so be gentle with it and neither press it nor touch its ears with camphor; and when you turban him, so do not turban him the turbanning of the Bedouins’. I said, ‘How should I do (it)?’ He^asws said: ‘Take the turban from its middle and display is upon his head, then turn it to its behind, and drop its two ends upon his chest’.
