John Shaqi

مَشَى النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) خَلْفَ جَنَازَةٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا لَكَ تَمْشِي خَلْفَهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ أَرَاهُمْ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَهَا وَ نَحْنُ تَبَعٌ لَهُمْ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from Amro Bin Usman, from Mufazzal bin Salih, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The Prophet<sup>saww</sup> walked behind a coffin, so it was said to him<sup>saww</sup>’. So he<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The Angels. I<sup>saww</sup> see them walking in front of it and we are following them’.
