سَمِعْتُ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِنَّ الْحُجَّةَ لَا تَقُومُ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ إِلَّا بِإِمَامٍ حَتَّى يُعْرَفَ .

الحسین بن محمد نے معلی بن محمد سے، انہوں نے حسن بن علی الوشاء سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے الرضا علیہ السلام کو یہ فرماتے سنا کہ ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: اللہ عزّ و جلّ کی حجت اس کی مخلوق پر قائم نہیں ہوتی مگر امام کے ذریعے جب تک وہ پہچانا نہ جائے۔
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Al Washa who said, ‘I heard Al-Reza<sup>asws</sup> saying that Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Divine Authority of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic cannot be established upon His<sup>azwj</sup> creatures except by an Imam<sup>asws</sup> until He<sup>azwj</sup> is recognised’.
