John Shaqi

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) يُكَبِّرُ عَلَى قَوْمٍ خَمْساً وَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ أَرْبَعاً فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ أَرْبَعاً اتُّهِمَ يَعْنِي بِالنِّفَاقِ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad Bin Usman and Hisham Bin Salim, from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> used to exclaim five <span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>s upon a group of people, and upon another group of people, four (<span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>s). So when he<sup>saww</sup> exclaimed four (<span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>s) upon a man, they (people) would accuse him (the deceased) of hypocrisy’.
