قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ تَدْرِي كَمِ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ خَمْسُ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ فَتَدْرِي مِنْ أَيْنَ أُخِذَتِ الْخَمْسُ قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ أُخِذَتِ الْخَمْسُ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ مِنَ الْخَمْسِ صَلَوَاتٍ مِنْ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ تَكْبِيرَةٌ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Usman Bin Abdul Malik Al Hazramy, from Abu Bakr Al Hazramy who said, ‘Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘O Abu Bakr! Do you know how is the <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span> upon the deceased?’ I said, ‘No’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Five exclamations of <span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>. So, do you know where the five have been taken from?’ I said, ‘No’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The five <span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>s have been taken from the five (daily) <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span>s, from each <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span> being one <span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>’.
