كَبَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) عَلَى حَمْزَةَ سَبْعِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً وَ كَبَّرَ عَلِيٌّ ( عليه السلام ) عِنْدَكُمْ عَلَى سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ خَمْسَةً وَ عِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً قَالَ كَبَّرَ خَمْساً خَمْساً كُلَّمَا أَدْرَكَهُ النَّاسُ قَالُوا يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَمْ نُدْرِكِ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَى سَهْلٍ فَيَضَعُهُ فَيُكَبِّرُ عَلَيْهِ خَمْساً حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى قَبْرِهِ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Abu Baseer, from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> exclaimed seventy <span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>s upon Hamza<sup>as</sup>, and Ali<sup>asws</sup> exclaimed twenty five <span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>s upon Sahl Bin Huneyf. He<sup>asws</sup> exclaimed five, five (at a time). Every time (more) people came over and they said, ‘O Amir Al Momineen<sup>asws</sup>! We could not attend the <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span> upon Sahl’. So he<sup>asws</sup> placed him (his dead body) and he<sup>asws</sup> exclaimed five (<span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>s) upon him until he ended up to his grave, (having done so five times)’.
