John Shaqi

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) لَا تَفْدَحْ مَيِّتَكَ بِالْقَبْرِ وَ لَكِنْ ضَعْهُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُ بِذِرَاعَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٍ وَ دَعْهُ يَأْخُذُ أُهْبَتَهُ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Muhammad Bin Ajlan who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Do not offload your dead one in the grave, but place him away from it by two cubits or three, and leave it to prepare himself’.
