سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ إِذَا مَاتَ بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مَلَكاً إِلَى أَوْجَعِ أَهْلِهِ فَمَسَحَ عَلَى قَلْبِهِ فَأَنْسَاهُ لَوْعَةَ الْحُزْنِ وَ لَوْ لَا ذَلِكَ لَمْ تُعْمَرِ الدُّنْيَا .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Usman Bin Isa, from Mihran Bin Muhammad who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘The deceased, when he dies, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Sends an Angel to the most pained one of his family, and he wipes upon his heart and causes him to forget the anguish of the grief, and had it not been for that, the (people of the) world would not live longer’.
