قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) لَوْ لَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَخَّرْتُ الْعِشَاءَ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ . وَ رُوِيَ أَيْضاً إِلَى نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ .
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhmmad, from Al Washa, from Aban, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Had it not been grievous upon my<sup>saww</sup> community, I<sup>saww</sup> would have delayed Al-Isha (<span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>) up to a third of the night’. And it is reported as well (that he<sup>saww</sup> said): ‘Up to half the night’.
