قُلْتُ لَهُ إِنِّي إِمَامُ مَسْجِدِ الْحَيِّ فَأَرْكَعُ بِهِمْ فَأَسْمَعُ خَفَقَانَ نِعَالِهِمْ وَ أَنَا رَاكِعٌ فَقَالَ اصْبِرْ رُكُوعَكَ وَ مِثْلَ رُكُوعِكَ فَإِنِ انْقَطَعَ وَ إِلَّا فَانْتَصِبْ قَائِماً .
Translation
Alli Bin Muhammad, from one of our companions, from Marwak Bin Ubeyd, from one of his companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘I am a prayer leader of a district Masjid. So I perform <span class="iTxt">Rukū</span> (bow) with them, and I hear the footsteps of their slippers while I am in <span class="iTxt">Rukū</span>’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Wait in your <span class="iTxt">Rukū</span> (for a time) similar to your <span class="iTxt">Rukū</span>. So if (the sounds are) cut off, or else, straighten up in standing’.
