سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ صَلَّى الْفَرِيضَةَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ وَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ أَحْدَثَ فَقَالَ أَمَّا صَلَاتُهُ فَقَدْ مَضَتْ وَ بَقِيَ التَّشَهُّدُ وَ إِنَّمَا التَّشَهُّدُ سُنَّةٌ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَ لْيَعُدْ إِلَى مَجْلِسِهِ أَوْ مَكَانٍ نَظِيفٍ فَيَتَشَهَّدْ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazalat, from Ibn Bukeyr, from Ubeyd Bin Zurara, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about a man who prayed the Obligatory <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>. So when he was free and raised his head from the second <span class="iTxt">Sajdah</span> of the fourth <span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span>, his ablution was invalidated’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘As for his <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, so it has passed, and there remains the bearing of the <span class="iTxt">Tashahhud </span>(three or more testimonies); and rather, the <span class="iTxt">Tashahhud</span> is a Sunnah in the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, therefore let him perform an ablution and let him return to his seat or a clean place, so he should recite <span class="iTxt">Tashahhud</span> (bear three or more testimonies)’.
