سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ وَ هُوَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ وَ هُوَ رَاكِعٌ أَنَّهُ تَرَكَ سَجْدَةً مِنَ الْأُولَى فَقَالَ كَانَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( صلوات الله عليه ) يَقُولُ إِذَا تَرَكْتَ السَّجْدَةَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى وَ لَمْ تَدْرِ وَاحِدَةً أَمْ ثِنْتَيْنِ اسْتَقْبَلْتَ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى يَصِحَّ لَكَ أَنَّهُمَا اثْنَتَانِ .
Translation
From him, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr and Ali Bin Muhammad, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about a man who prays one <span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span> of <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, then remembers when he is in the second and he is <span class="iTxt">Rukū</span>, that he had left out one <span class="iTxt">Sajdah</span> from the first (<span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span>). So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> was saying: ‘When you leave the <span class="iTxt">Sajdah</span> in the first <span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span> and do not know whether it was one or two, you should re-commence the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> until it is correct for you that these were two (<span class="iTxt">Sajdah</span>s)’.
