سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الضَّحِكِ هَلْ يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ أَمَّا التَّبَسُّمُ فَلَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ وَ أَمَّا الْقَهْقَهَةُ فَهِيَ تَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ .
Translation
A group, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from his brother Al Hassan, from Zurara, from Sama’at who said, ‘I asked about the one who laughs, would it cut the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘As for the smile, so it does not cut off the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, and as for the chuckling (laughing), so it cuts off the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>’.
