John Shaqi

إِذَا كُنْتَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَرِيضَةِ فَرَأَيْتَ غُلَاماً لَكَ قَدْ أَبَقَ أَوْ غَرِيماً لَكَ عَلَيْهِ مَالٌ أَوْ حَيَّةً تَخَافُهَا عَلَى نَفْسِكَ فَاقْطَعِ الصَّلَاةَ وَ اتْبَعِ الْغُلَامَ أَوْ غَرِيماً لَكَ وَ اقْتُلِ الْحَيَّةَ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, from Hammad Bin Isa, from Hareyz, from the one who informed him, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Whenever you are in the Obligatory <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> and you see a slave of yours to have absconded, or a debtor of yours upon whom is wealth (due to you), or a snake you fear upon yourself, so cut off your <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> and pursue the slave, or a debtor of yours, and kill the snake’.
