سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْبِيَعِ وَ الْكَنَائِسِ هَلْ يَصْلُحُ نَقْضُهُمَا لِبِنَاءِ الْمَسَاجِدِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, from Safwan, from Al Ays who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the synagogues and the churches, ‘Is it correct to break these two in order to build the Masjids?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes’.
