سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ فَبَيْنَا هُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي إِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ وَ أَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لْيَسْتَأْنِفِ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ وَ لْتَكُنِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ تَطَوُّعاً .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hisham Bin Salim, from Suleyman Bin Khalid who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about a man who enters the Masjid and the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> has commenced. So while he was standing, praying, the <span class="iTxt">Muezzin</span> recited the <span class="iTxt">Azan</span> and established the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘So let him pray two <span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span>, then let him resume the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> with the Imam, and let the two <span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span> be (classified as) voluntary’.
