قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَقَدْ آتَيْنا آلَ إِبْراهِيمَ الْكِتابَ فَقَالَ النُّبُوَّةَ قُلْتُ الْحِكْمَةَ قَالَ الْفَهْمَ وَ الْقَضَاءَ قُلْتُ وَ آتَيْناهُمْ مُلْكاً عَظِيماً فَقَالَ الطَّاعَةَ .

میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے کہا: اللہ عزوجل کے قول (4:54): 'ہم نے آلِ ابراہیم کو کتاب دی' کا کیا مطلب ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: 'نبوت'۔ میں نے کہا: 'اور حکمت؟' فرمایا: 'فہم اور قضاء'۔ میں نے کہا: 'اور ہم نے انہیں عظیم بادشاہت دی؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'اطاعت (لوگوں کی)'۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Yahya Al Halby, from Muhammad Al Ahowl, from Humran Bin Ayn who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:4#h54"><a href="/books/quran:4#h54">[4:54]</a></a> But indeed We have given to the Progeny of Ibrahim, the Book</span>’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Prophet-hood’. I said, ‘<span class="ibTxt">and the Wisdom</span>?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The understanding and the (giving) judgment’. I said, ‘<span class="ibTxt">and We have Given them a Grand Kingdom</span>?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The obedience (of the people)’.
