سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى وَ ما تُغْنِي الْآياتُ وَ النُّذُرُ عَنْ قَوْمٍ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ قَالَ الْآيَاتُ هُمُ الْأَئِمَّةُ وَ النُّذُرُ هُمُ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ( عليهم السلام ) .

میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کے قول کے بارے میں پوچھا: 'اور جو لوگ ایمان نہیں لاتے، ان کو نشانیاں اور ڈرانے والے کیا فائدہ دیں گے؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'آیات — وہ ائمہ ہیں، اور نذر — وہ انبیاء علیہم السلام ہیں۔'
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abdullah, from Ahmad Bin Hilal, from Amiyya Bin Ali, from Dawood Al Raqqy who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Blessed and High <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:10#h101"><a href="/books/quran:10#h101">[10:101]</a></a> Say: Look at what is it that is in the skies and the earth; and the Signs and the warners do not avail a people who would not believe</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Signs, they are the Imams<sup>asws</sup>, and the ‘Warners’, they<sup>asws</sup> are the Prophets<sup>as</sup>’.
