Translation

Ali, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullahasws, from hisasws fatherasws having said: ‘Weasws tend to order ourasws children with the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> when they are five years of age, therefore, instruct your children with the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> when they were seven years of age. And weasws tend to order ourasws children with the Fasting when they were of seven years with whatever they can bear from the Fasting of the day. If it was up to half the day, or more than that, or less. So when the thirst and the hunger overcomes them, they break, until they become habitual with the Fasting and are able to endure it. Therefore, instruct you children when they were of seven years, with the Fasting, whatever they capacities may be, from the Fasting of the day. So when the thirst overcomes them, they break it’.
