Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from one of his companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullahasws, said, ‘Heasws was asked about a limit of the miles which Obligated the shortening in it. So Abu Abdullahasws said: ‘Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘A limit of the miles was made to be from the shade of (mount) Ayr up to the shade of (mount) Wueyr, and these two are mountains in Al-Medina. So when the sun emerged, the shadow of (mount) Ayr fell upon the shadow of (mount) Uweyr), and it is the mile which Rasool-Allahsaww placed upon the shortening’.
