سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ يَدْخُلُ مِنْ سَفَرِهِ وَ قَدْ دَخَلَ وَقْتُ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِذَا خَرَجَ إِلَى سَفَرٍ وَ قَدْ دَخَلَ وَقْتُ الصَّلَاةِ فَلْيُصَلِّ أَرْبَعاً .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad, from Hareyz, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about a man who came over from his journey and the time for <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> had come up. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He should pray two <span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span> of <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>. But when he goes out on a journey and the time for the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> had come up, so let him pray a <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> of four (<span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span>)’.
