John Shaqi

قَرَأْتُ فِي كِتَابِ رَجُلٍ إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) الرَّكْعَتَانِ اللَّتَانِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ هِيَ أَمْ مِنْ صَلَاةِ النَّهَارِ وَ فِي أَيِّ وَقْتٍ أُصَلِّيهَا فَكَتَبَ بِخَطِّهِ احْشُهَا فِي صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ حَشْواً .


Translation

Ali Bin Muhammad, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ali Bin Mahziyar who said, ‘I read in the letter of a man to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The two <span class="iTxt">Rak’at</span> which are before <span class="iTxt">Al-Fajr Salāt</span>, are there from the <span class="iTxt">Salāts</span> of the night or from the <span class="iTxt">Salāts</span> of the daytime, and in which time should I be praying these?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> wrote in his<sup>asws</sup> own handwriting: ‘Fill them in the night <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> with a complete filling’.
