سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ الَّذِينَ آتَيْناهُمُ الْكِتابَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلاوَتِهِ أُولئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ قَالَ هُمُ الْأَئِمَّةُ ( عليهم السلام ) .

محمد بن یحیی، احمد بن محمد سے، ابن محبوب سے، ابو ولاد سے، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ عزوجل کے اس قول کے بارے میں پوچھا: جنہیں ہم نے کتاب دی، وہ اسے اس طرح پڑھتے ہیں جیسا اس کی تلاوت کا حق ہے؛ وہی اس پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے علیہ السلام فرمایا: وہ ائمہ عليهم السلام ہیں۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Abu Wallad who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h121"><a href="/books/quran:2#h121">[2:121]</a></a> Those to whom We have Given the Book recite it as it ought to be recited. They believe in it</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘They<sup>asws</sup> are the Imams<sup>asws</sup>’.
