John Shaqi

الْفَقِيرُ الَّذِي لَا يَسْأَلُ وَ الْمِسْكِينُ الَّذِي هُوَ أَجْهَدُ مِنْهُ الَّذِي يَسْأَلُ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Hassan, from Safwan in Yahya, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from one of the two (5<sup>th</sup> or 6<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>), that he<sup>asws</sup> was asked about the poor and the needy, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The poor is the one who does not ask, and the needy is the one who is more straitened that he does ask for’.
