سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ ما بَخِلُوا بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَمْنَعُ مِنْ زَكَاةِ مَالِهِ شَيْئاً إِلَّا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ذَلِكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُعْبَاناً مِنْ نَارٍ مُطَوَّقاً فِي عُنُقِهِ يَنْهَشُ مِنْ لَحْمِهِ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنَ الْحِسَابِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هُوَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ ما بَخِلُوا بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ يَعْنِي مَا بَخِلُوا بِهِ مِنَ الزَّكَاةِ .

علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے ابن ابی عمیر سے، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن مسکان سے، انہوں نے محمد بن مسلم سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ عزوجل کے اس قول کے بارے میں پوچھا: 'جس چیز میں انہوں نے بخل کیا وہ روز قیامت ان کے گلے میں طوق بن کر پڑے گی۔' تو آپ نے فرمایا: اے محمد! جو شخص اپنے مال کی زکوٰة میں سے کچھ بھی روکتا ہے، اللہ عزوجل اسے روز قیامت آگ کا ایک بڑا سانپ بنا کر اس کی گردن میں طوق کر دے گا جو حساب مکمل ہونے تک اس کا گوشت نوچتا رہے گا۔ پھر آپ نے فرمایا: یہی اللہ عزوجل کا فرمان ہے: جس چیز میں انہوں نے بخل کیا وہ روز قیامت ان کے گلے میں طوق بن کر پڑے گی — یعنی زکوٰة میں جس چیز میں انہوں نے بخل کیا۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abdullah Bin Muskan, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:3#h180"><a href="/books/quran:3#h180">[3:180]</a></a> they shall have what they were niggardly of to cleave to their necks on the Day of Judgement</span>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘O Muhammad! There is none who prevents anything from a <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span> of his wealth except that Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic, on the Day of Judgement, would Make that to be a clothing of fire collared in his neck, eroding his flesh until he is free from the Reckoning’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘These are the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:3#h180"><a href="/books/quran:3#h180">[3:180]</a></a> they shall have what they were niggardly of to cleave to their necks on the Day of Judgement</span> – Meaning what they were niggardly of, from the <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span>’.
