John Shaqi

لَا تَأْخُذَنَّ مَالًا مُضَارَبَةً إِلَّا مَالًا تُزَكِّيهِ أَوْ يُزَكِّيهِ صَاحِبُهُ وَ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ عِنْدَكَ مَتَاعٌ فِي الْبَيْتِ مَوْضُوعٌ فَأُعْطِيتَ بِهِ رَأْسَ مَالِكَ فَرَغِبْتَ عَنْهُ فَعَلَيْكَ زَكَاتُهُ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>) having said: ‘Do not be taking wealth for trading except wealth which you purify (pay <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span> on) or its owner purifies it (pays <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span> on)’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If there were goods with you in the house, for which you are given the capital of your wealth, but you turn away from it, so upon you is its <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span>’.
