John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ يُعْطِي الْأَلْفَ الدِّرْهَمِ مِنَ الزَّكَاةِ فَيَقْسِمُهَا فَيُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَهُ أَنْ يُعْطِيَ الرَّجُلَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ يَبْدُو لَهُ وَ يَعْزِلُهُ وَ يُعْطِي غَيْرَهُ قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ismail Bin Marrar, from Yunus, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ibrahim<sup>asws</sup> (7<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>), said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The man has a thousand Dirhams to give out from the <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span>. So he distributes it, and he discusses with himself that he should be giving it to the man from it, then he changes his mind about him and he isolates him and gives it to someone else’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘There is no problem with it’.
