إِذَا جَادَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَجُودُوا وَ إِذَا أَمْسَكَ عَنْكُمْ فَأَمْسِكُوا وَ لَا تُجَاوِدُوا اللَّهَ فَهُوَ الْأَجْوَدُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Marwak Bin Ubeyd, from Rafa’at, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘When Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Blessed and High is benevolent upon you, so you be benevolent, and when He<sup>azwj</sup> Withholds from you, so you withhold, and do not try to be more benevolent than Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, for He<sup>azwj</sup> is the most Belevolent’.
