Ali Bin Muhammad, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father, from Al Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Musa Bakr, from Ajlan who said, ‘I was in the presence of Abu Abdullahasws, when a beggar came over. So heasws reached to a basket in which were some dates, filled hisasws hand and gave it to him. Then another came over and begged himasws. So heasws stood, grabbed a handful and gave it to him. Then another came over and begged himasws, so heasws stood, grabbed a handful and gave it to him. Then another came over and begged himasws. So heasws stood, grabbed a handful and gave it to him. Then another one came over, so heasws said: ‘May Allahazwj Grace usasws and you’. Then heasws said: ‘Rasool-Allahsaww was such that no one asked himsaww from something of the world except that hesaww gave it to him. So a woman sent her son over to himasws saying, ‘Go to himsaww and ask him. So if hesaww says: ‘There is nothing with ussaww’, so he said, ‘Give me yoursaww shirt’. Heasws said: ‘So hesaww took off his shirt and threw it at him’. And in another copy, ‘So hesaww gave him (hissaww shirt) and Allahazwj Blessed and High Educated himsaww upon the moderation, so Heazwj Said <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:17#h29"><a href="/books/quran:17#h29">[17:29]</a></a> And do not make your hand to be shackled to your neck nor extend it to its limit, lest you should become blameworthy, tied up</span>’.
