John Shaqi

كَانَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَسْأَلُ شِهَاباً مِنْ زَكَاتِهِ لِمَوَالِيهِ وَ إِنَّمَا حُرِّمَتِ الزَّكَاةُ عَلَيْهِمْ دُونَ مَوَالِيهِمْ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Sa’alba Bin Maymoun who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> used to ask Shihaab (to give) his<sup>asws</sup> Zakat to his<sup>asws</sup> slaves, and rather the Zakat is Probibited unto them<sup>asws</sup> but (it is permissible for our<sup>asws</sup>) slaves’.
