قِيلَ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَا جَاءَ فِي الصَّوْمِ فِي يَوْمِ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ فَقَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ خَلَقَ النَّارَ يَوْمَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ فَأَوْجَبَ صَوْمَهُ لِيُتَعَوَّذَ بِهِ مِنَ النَّارِ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, form Hammad, from Hareyz who said, ‘It was said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘What has come regarding the Fasting during the Wednesday?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Created the Fire on the day of Wednesday, thus its Fasting is Obligated in order to seek Refuge by it, from the Fire’.
