John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَا الْوِصَالُ فِي الصِّيَامِ قَالَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قَالَ لَا وِصَالَ فِي صِيَامٍ وَ لَا صَمْتَ يَوْمٍ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ وَ لَا عِتْقَ قَبْلَ مِلْكٍ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Sayf Bin Ameyra, from Hassan Bin Mukhtar who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘What is the continuation regarding the Fasting?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘There is neither a continuation (without breaking Fast) regarding the Fasting, nor a silence for the day up to the night, nor an emancipation before ownership’.
