اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ الْكَبِيرُ وَ الَّذِي يَأْخُذُهُ الْعُطَاشُ وَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَإِطْعامُ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِيناً قَالَ مِنْ مَرَضٍ أَوْ عُطَاشٍ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Safwan Bin yahya, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> regarding the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h184"><a href="/books/quran:2#h184">[2:184]</a></a> and those who are not able to do it may effect a redemption by feeding a poor person</span>, said: ‘The old man, and the those seized by the thirst’. And about the Words of the Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:58#h4"><a href="/books/quran:58#h4">[58:4]</a></a> then as for him who is not able, let him feed sixty needy ones</span>, he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Out of sickness or thirst’.
