سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ سَافَرَ قَصَّرَ وَ أَفْطَرَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلًا سَفَرُهُ إِلَى صَيْدٍ أَوْ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَسُولًا لِمَنْ يَعْصِي اللَّهَ أَوْ فِي طَلَبِ شَحْنَاءَ أَوْ سِعَايَةِ ضَرَرٍ عَلَى قَوْمٍ مُسْلِمِينَ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Abu Ayoub, from Muhammad Bin Marwan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I heard him<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘The one who travels should shorten (the Prayer) and break (the Fast), except if there happens to be a man whom he travels for (the aim of) hunting, or regarding a disobedience to Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, or is a messenger for the one who disobeys Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, or regarding seeking of malice, or slanderous harm upon a group of Muslims’.
