الرَّجُلِ يُشَيِّعُ أَخَاهُ مَسِيرَةَ يَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٍ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَلْيُفْطِرْ قُلْتُ أَيُّمَا أَفْضَلُ يَصُومُ أَوْ يُشَيِّعُهُ قَالَ يُشَيِّعُهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَدْ وَضَعَهُ عَنْهُ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from one of the two (5<sup>th</sup> or 6<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>) regarding the man who escorts his brother of a journey of a day, or two days, or three. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If it was during a Month of Ramazan, so let him break (not Fast)’. I said, ‘Which of these two is superior, fasting or escorting him?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Escorting him. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic has Exempted if from him’.
