حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ زَيْدٍ النَّرْسِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ زُرَارَةَ يَسْأَلُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ فَقَالَ مَنْ صَامَهُ كَانَ حَظُّهُ مِنْ صِيَامِ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ حَظَّ ابْنِ مَرْجَانَةَ وَ آلِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَ مَا كَانَ حَظُّهُمْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ قَالَ النَّارُ أَعَاذَنَا اللَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُ مِنَ النَّارِ .
Translation
And from him, from Muhammad Bin Isa who said, ‘Muhammad in Abu Umeyr narrated to us, from Zayd Al Narsy who said, ‘I heard Zurara asking Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Fasting of the day of Ashura (10<sup>th</sup> Muharram). So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The one who Fasts it, his share from the Fast of that day would be a share of Ibn Marjana and the progeny of Ziyad’. I said, ‘And what is their share from that day?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Fire. We<sup>asws</sup> seek Refuge with Allah<sup>azwj</sup> from the Fire and from the deed which takes one closer to the Fire’.
