سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ اللَّيْلَةِ الَّتِي يُطْلَبُ فِيهَا مَا يُطْلَبُ مَتَى الْغُسْلُ فَقَالَ مِنْ أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ حَيْثُ تَقُومُ مِنْ آخِرِهِ وَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْقِيَامِ فَقَالَ تَقُومُ فِي أَوَّلِهِ وَ آخِرِهِ .
Translation
Safwan Bin Yahya, from Ays Bin Al Qasim who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the night in which to seek what is sought, when to bathe?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘From the beginning of the night; and if you so desire to, when you are standing (for Prayer) at its end’. And I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about the standing (for the Prayer), so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘You should be standing during its beginning and its end’.
