قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) الْفِطْرَةُ إِنْ أَعْطَيْتَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ إِلَى الْعِيدِ فَهِيَ فِطْرَةٌ وَ إِنْ كَانَتْ بَعْدَ مَا تَخْرُجُ إِلَى الْعِيدِ فَهِيَ صَدَقَةٌ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Muawiya Bin Ammar, from Ibrahim Bin Maymoun who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Al-Fitra is that you give it before you go to the Eid, so it is Fitra; and if it was after your going out to the Eid, so it is charity’.
