قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أُهْدِيَ لَنَا طَائِرٌ مَذْبُوحٌ بِمَكَّةَ فَأَكَلَهُ أَهْلُنَا فَقَالَ لَا يَرَى بِهِ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ بَأْساً قُلْتُ فَأَيُّ شَيْءٍ تَقُولُ أَنْتَ قَالَ عَلَيْهِمْ ثَمَنُهُ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, from Safwan Bin yahya, from Mansour Bin Hazim who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘A slaughtered bird was gifted to us in Makkah, so our families ate it’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The people of Makkah do not see any problem with it’. I said, ‘So which thing are you<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Upon them is its price (penalty)’.
