حَجَّ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا فَلَمَّا قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ دَخَلُوا عَلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) فَقَالُوا إِنَّ زُرَارَةَ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُهِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا فَقَالَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا فَلَمَّا خَرَجُوا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ دَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ لَئِنْ لَمْ تُخْبِرْهُمْ بِمَا أَخْبَرْتَ زُرَارَةَ لَنَأْتِيَنَّ الْكُوفَةَ وَ لَنُصْبِحَنَّ بِهِ كُذَّاباً فَقَالَ رُدَّهُمْ فَدَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ صَدَقَ زُرَارَةُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَا وَ اللَّهِ لَا يَسْمَعُ هَذَا بَعْدَ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ أَحَدٌ مِنِّي .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from hammad Bin Isa, from Hareyz, from Abdul Malik Bin Ayn who said, ‘A group of our companions performed Hajj. So when they proceeded to Al-Medina, then went over to Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, and they said, ‘Zurara instructed us that we should begin with the Hajj when we adorn our <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span>s’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said to them: ‘Perform <span class="iTxt">Tamatto </span>’. So when they went out from his<sup>asws</sup> presence, I went over to him<sup>asws</sup>, so I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>! Why did you<sup>asws</sup> not inform them with what Zurara had informed them? They would be going to Al-Kufa and would be reckoning him as a liar with it’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Return them’. So they came over to him<sup>asws</sup>, and he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Zurara spoke the truth’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But, by Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! No one would hear this from me<sup>asws</sup> after this day’.
