John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ يَحُجُّ عَنْ أَخِيهِ أَوْ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ هَلْ يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَقُولُ بَعْدَ مَا يُحْرِمُ اللَّهُمَّ مَا أَصَابَنِي فِي سَفَرِي هَذَا مِنْ تَعَبٍ أَوْ شِدَّةٍ أَوْ بَلَاءٍ أَوْ شَعَثٍ فَأْجُرْ فُلَاناً فِيهِ وَ أْجُرْنِي فِي قَضَائِي عَنْهُ . مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ مِثْلَهُ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Abdul Kareem, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The man performs Hajj on behalf of his brother, or on behalf of his father, or on behalf of a man from the people. Is it befitting for him that he should be saying something?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes. He should be saying after having worn the <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span>, ‘O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Whatever hits me during this journey of mine, from fatigue, or difficulties, or affliction, or untidiness, so Recompense so and so with regards to it, and Recompense me for fulfilling it on his behalf’. <span style="font-size: small">Muhammad Bin yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ibn Muskan, from Al Halby </span>– similar to it’.
