John Shaqi

إِنَّمَا كُرِهَ ذَلِكَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَزُرَّهُ الْجَاهِلُ فَأَمَّا الْفَقِيهُ فَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَلْبَسَهُ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> similar to that, and he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But rather, that (wearing of a pillion) is disliked out of fear that the ignorant one would button it. But, as for the understanding one, so there is no problem if he were to wear it’.
