قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) الْمَرْأَةُ الْمُحْرِمَةُ تَلْبَسُ مَا شَاءَتْ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ غَيْرَ الْحَرِيرِ وَ الْقُفَّازَيْنِ وَ كُرِهَ النِّقَابُ وَ قَالَ تَسْدِلُ الثَّوْبَ عَلَى وَجْهِهَا قُلْتُ حَدُّ ذَلِكَ إِلَى أَيْنَ قَالَ إِلَى طَرَفِ الْأَنْفِ قَدْرَ مَا تُبْصِرُ .
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan, from Ays Bin Al Qasim who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The woman in <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span> can wear whatever she so desires to from the clothes, apart from the silk, and the two gloves; but the veil (<span class="iTxt">Naqaab</span>) is disliked’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘And she can hang the cloth upon her face’. I said, ‘The limit of that is up to where?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Up to the side of the nose, to a measurement of what she can see with’.
