سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْمَشْيُ أَفْضَلُ أَوِ الرُّكُوبُ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مُوسِراً فَمَشَى لِيَكُونَ أَقَلَّ لِنَفَقَتِهِ فَالرُّكُوبُ أَفْضَلُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the walking being superior of the riding. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If a man is affluent, so he walks in order to lessen his expenditure, so (for him rather) the riding is superior’.
