قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ رَأْسَهُ بِالْخِطْمِيِّ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَحْلِقَهُ قَالَ يُقَصِّرُ وَ يَغْسِلُهُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Mufazzal Bin Salih, from Aban Bin Taghlub who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘Is it for the man that he should wash his head with the hibiscus (flower) before he shaves off his head?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He should shorten it and wash it’.
