لَمَّا حَضَرَتْ أَبِي ( عليه السلام ) الْوَفَاةُ قَالَ يَا جَعْفَرُ أُوصِيكَ بِأَصْحَابِي خَيْراً قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ وَ اللَّهِ لَأَدَعَنَّهُمْ وَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُمْ يَكُونُ فِي الْمِصْرِ فَلَا يَسْأَلُ أَحَداً .

محمد بن یحییٰ، احمد بن محمد سے، ابن ابی عمیر سے، ہشام بن سالم سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: جب میرے والد علیہ السلام کے پاس وفات آئی تو انہوں نے فرمایا: 'اے جعفر، میں تمہیں اپنے اصحاب کے ساتھ بھلائی کی وصیت کرتا ہوں۔' میں نے عرض کیا: 'میں آپ پر قربان، اللہ کی قسم! میں انہیں اس حال میں چھوڑ دوں گا کہ ان میں سے کوئی شخص کسی شہر میں ہوگا اور اسے کسی سے سوال کرنے کی حاجت نہ ہوگی۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hisham Bin Salim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘When the death presented itself to my<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup>, he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘O Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>! I<sup>asws</sup> bequeath you<sup>asws</sup> to be good with my<sup>asws</sup> companions’. I said, ‘May I<sup>asws</sup> be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>! By Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! I<sup>asws</sup> shall educate them (to the extent that), and the man from them would happen to be in the city, so he would not (need to) ask anyone (to know anything)’.
