Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, and Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Al Kufy, from Ali Bin Mahziyar who said, ‘I saw Abu Ja’farasws the 2nd in the year two hundred and twenty five, bidding farewell to the House (Kabah) after the rising of the sun, and performing <span class="iTxt">Tawaaf</span> of the House Kabah, touching Al-Yamani corner during each circuit. So when it was the seventh circuit, heasws touched it and touched the (Black) Stone, and wiped it with hisasws hand, then wiped hisasws face with hisasws hand. Then heasws went to the Standing Place (of Ibrahimas), so he performed <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span> behind it, by two Cycles. Then heasws went out to the back of the Kabah, to Al-Multazam, so heasws adhered to the House, and uncovered the cloth from hisasws belly, then paused upon it for a long time, supplicating. Then heasws went out from the door of Al-Hannatayn and faced it. He (the narrator) said, ‘So I (also) saw himasws in the year two hundred and seventeen bidding farewell to the House (Kabah) at night, touching Al-Yamani corner, and the Black Stone during each circuit. So when heasws was in the seventh circuit, heasws adhered to the House at the back of the Kabah, near to the Yamani corner, and above the (Black) Stone by the rectangular stone, and uncovered the cloth from his belly. Then he went to the (Black) Stone), so heasws kissed it, and wiped it, and went to the Standing Place (of Ibrahimas), and heasws performed <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span> behind it. Then heasws went and did not return to the House (Kabah), and it was hisasws pausing at Al-Multazam of a measurement of what some of our companions take to perform <span class="iTxt">Tawaaf</span> of seven circuits, and some of them eight’.
